BOTHELL DATA SERVICES LLC is a new breed of Data Center/Colocation facility located just north of Seattle in Bothell, Washington. The Bothell Data Center location at Monte Villa Farms was selected because of its natural attributes. An abundance of available power, location outside of the flood plain (FEMA) and the Seattle core earthquake liquefaction zone (US Geological Survey), as well as its close proximity to multiple fiber providers make it ideal for the build out of a data center.

We engaged the professionals at McKinstry and Cochran utilizing their experience in data center build outs. Leveraging their expertise, we have built a facility destined to become the most attractive colocation facility in the Northwest.

The facility is serviced by the Snohomish County PUD, which is a separate power grid from Seattle. The facility has the potential to power up to 100,000 square feet of data center space. We are a carrier neutral facility with multiple providers, diverse paths from the facility, a transport connection to the Westin, access to the SIX, and the facility has a fully secure and segregated meet-me-room. We offer full security, including cameras and key card access, a Vesda air sampling system and pre-action sprinklers, remote hands assistance, 24 hour support, backup generators and UPS.

POWER & SCALABILITY

The facility is serviced by the Snohomish County PUD, which is on a separate grid from power supplied to Seattle.

It is engineered and built by Cochran, a leading electrical contractor in the Puget Sound region with extensive data center experience. Electrical features include:

 Up to 2 x 20 amp circuits to each rack, upgradeable to 30 amps

 5 kW per rack phase 1, 10 kw phase 2

 295 watts per square foot to racks, not including HVAC

 208 and 110 volt options

 Centralized on-line APC UPS

 Facilities staff dedicated to refuel generator regularly, coordinating with multiple fuel providers

 Backup generator power, exercised weekly and contracted semi-annual service by Cummins 

Northwest

HVAC & MECHANICAL

We utilize a hot aisle/cold aisle system with diffusers directly covering the entire area of the cold aisle. The HVAC system is engineered and installed by McKinstry, a nationally recognized leader in HVAC and green technological advances.

 Under full-service maintenance contract with McKinstry

 Phase 2 is engineered to utilize "free cooling" on average of 96% of the time

 Variable frequency drives are installed on equipment to increase our efficiency; the savings earneda 52% incentive from the power company
